Terms and Conditions

These terms govern your use of the Glosso Studio website and applications. By using them, you agree to what follows. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

1. Who we are

Glosso Studio is an independent software project. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean Glosso Studio, and “you” means the person using the website or an application.

2. The apps and the website

  • Glosso is a pronunciation training application for Android, distributed through Google Play.
  • TransitOS is a public transport trip planner for Android, with its own page on this site.
  • This website provides information about both.

Each app may be updated, changed or discontinued at any time.

3. Licence to use the apps

The Glosso application is proprietary software. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use it on devices you own or control, for your own learning. You may not copy, modify, redistribute, resell or reverse engineer the app except where the law expressly allows it.

The website’s text, design and brand assets are our property and are protected by copyright and trademark law.

4. Subscriptions and billing

  • Some features require a Glosso Pro subscription.
  • Subscriptions are sold and managed by Google Play. Google’s terms and payment rules apply to the purchase.
  • New learners receive an introductory 1 month free trial. Unless cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends, the subscription renews automatically at the price shown on the Google Play listing at the time of purchase.
  • You can cancel at any time in Google Play (Subscriptions in the Play Store app). Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the current period unless Google’s policy or the law requires it.
  • Prices, taxes and available plans are set and displayed by Google Play, and may change.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the apps or website for anything unlawful;
  • attempt to disrupt, overload, scrape or gain unauthorised access to our services;
  • upload content you do not have the right to use;
  • misrepresent your identity or impersonate anyone.

6. Learning content and accuracy

Glosso provides pronunciation feedback to help you improve. Scores and diagnoses are estimates, not official assessments. They are not affiliated with, and do not constitute, any CEFR certification, exam result or professional language qualification. You are responsible for how you use the feedback.

7. Third-party services

The apps and website rely on services provided by others, including Google Play for distribution and billing. We are not responsible for the availability, content, terms or privacy practices of third parties.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the website and apps available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features that depend on a network connection may be unavailable from time to time.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the apps and website are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the apps or website. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence still apply.
