How it works

One short loop, repeated until it sticks.

    Read one short phrase aloud. Glosso records it and scores the audio, on your phone or on our server.

  2. Measure

    A speech model turns the audio into the sounds it heard. Each one is aligned against the reference and scored - not just the sentence.

  3. Improve

    Glosso names the sound that slipped, explains the fix in plain language, and builds your next drill from your own error.

No speech model is infallible. When the audio is too quiet or too noisy to judge, Glosso says the attempt could not be evaluated instead of inventing a low score. See the FAQ for the honest limits.

Why it is different

A real measurement, not a friendly score.

Most feedback tells you that you were close. Glosso tells you which sound you got wrong, what you said instead, and what to do about it.

  • Every sound, scored. Not one number for the whole sentence, but a verdict on each phoneme you produced.
  • The slip, named. Glosso says which sound you substituted and where - a /θ/ heard as a /t/, a short /ɪ/ stretched into a long /iː/.
  • Proof it is working. A profile follows each sound over time, so you watch it move instead of hoping it did.
